Deep sea fishing...
Back from Oz and ready to take on the world again is the flavour of the month, although being only back for three days this enthusiasm is due to wain about next Tuesday I’d say…
There were things that were more the same than before I left and there were other things that had moved on in leaps and bounds… to identify them all would take me to next Tuesday and that would just be a waste of enthusiasm…
We have decided to take the plunge into the deep St James’s Park real estate market and hope the neighbours are a better class of human than the current rental tenants… I don’t need to mention the chair that I broke this week due to a dispute with said tenants (unfortunately it was not over their heads Bronson style) so we are the proud owners of two new lap holders…
As I look out on to our street and see the sun setting behind dark grey clouds I think of the bright light and 48° heat that I experienced not less than two weeks ago… the next time we travel it will be a little cooler than that (oh how English of me to mention the climate)…
The general theme of the trip just gone seemed to be babies (wall to wall hatching and baking) for the Oz leg and “happy endings” for the Bangers stop-over… which was nice but it is nice to be back ones own pub and talk of our adventures with slightly disinterested locals…
Damo has gone to live in Euston for the next month or two… maybe it was my chair difficulties that drove him out? Or maybe he just wanted to be closer to the Liverpool train? The parks lawns will be browner with out the creek flowing over them…
Next – back to Spain and then Russia…
I’ll try to be a little more gastro on my entries this year…
